Operating Instructions
for the ESL Electronic Safe Lock
COMBO SET TO: C 1, 2, 3, 4,
5, 6 #
OPENING
PROCEDURE: To open the lock, simply press the "C"
then enter the combination followed by the "#"
key. If the combination keyed is correct, the lock will
open for three (3) seconds. During this 3-second period,
turn the handle of the safe to the unlocked position and
pull the door open.
**NOTE: If combination is entered wrong 4 times, Lock goes
into "Lockout" for 15 minutes, "RED"
Light flashes while in Lockout.
CHANGING
COMBINATION PROCEDURE:
**NOTE: Before changing combination always-open safe first
and leave the door open. Then move the handle to the locked
position. If the handle moves to the locked position automatically
when door is closed, you must find the actuator that releases
the handle. The actuator will either be on the face of the
door, or on the inside of the door near the hinges. The
combination can now be changed by keying: C-#-(short warble
& flickering RED light), enter OLD 6-Digits-# (short
warble & flickering RED light), enter NEW 6-Digits-#
(short warble & flickering RED light), enter New 6-Digits
(long warble & long flickering RED light = good combo
change). Caution! Don't press "C" when entering
the New 6-Digit numbers! This will cancel the combo change
and keep the original combination.
Example:
C123456# is the current number and you want to change to
C654321#.
To change, press C-# (short warble), 123456-# (short warble),
654321-# (short warble), 654321-# (long warble = good combo
change).
IMPORTANT:
If the new combination is entered incorrectly, the lock
will return to the original combination.
CHANGING
BATTERIES: Turn round keypad to the left and pull keypad.

Duracell or Energizer 9-volt ALKALINE batteries.
